New Support Forums

For help with EEHack, EEX, or general f-body stuff, I made a forum so it’s easier to ask questions, or just discuss the software.

I doubt it’ll become very active, but my hope is that new users can read this forum to search for answers to frequently asked questions.

This forum shares its membership database with this blog as well, so if you’ve already signed up, you’re good to go.

This should be more efficient than posting comments here if you need help (and I will now stop approving comments on blog posts asking for help, instead sending a private message reccommending re-posting on the forum …)

Enjoy!

  1. At the risk of sounding like an idiot, I need to ask. I recently downloaded eehack and had it working. While playing around we tried to load a different definition file. It prompted me to restart the program for it to take affect. Now when I try to restart the program it gives me an “error line 1”, then shuts down. I uninstalled and reinstalled the program with no luck. Any idea what I did wrong?

    • broken definition file, there are three ways to go here.

first, to reset the settings completely. in your start menu, my installer installs a ‘reset all settings’ shortcut (in the ‘advanced’ submenu). you can use that.

second, you could find the key in the registry at HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\EEHack\fbodytech.com and fix it (or remove that one key so it’ll default)

third, simply rename or move the definition that’s crashing it, then fire it up. eehack, on being unable to find a definition file, will lock itself up and prompt you to find a new one.

…i intended to do that re-selection routine when you run into an ‘invalid’ file too, but never got around to it…

  2. Been doing a lot of research on all this tuning stuff for my ’95 Vette. I have a cable and tunerpro rt. Is there anything available that I can compare my DA vs a factory DA where everything is working properly? Have you had good luck from your adx and xdf files?

    Thanks

  3. Well, 2 days of reading a 61 page thread. I am impressed with all the work that has gone into EEHack.

I will be able to tune my 95 Z28 because of all you guys, I have a couple of logs already. Can’t wait to get home again, in a couple of week to spend some hack time.

    Thanks All!

  4. Hi Steve,
. I downloaded the EEhack program and installed the drivers for the ALDL to serial cable that I had from the CATS software. I tried to install the tune and this is a data log of what is happening when I try to load the program.

Do you know if the PCM has a signal that tells the serial data to turn on? I’m at a loss as to why my PCM will not talk to any of the software any more. I was able to get the program to talk and retrieve the original tune that I sent to Solormon. I was also able to change the tune and reload it to my PCM one time where I turned the MAF sensor back on.

Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.

    thanks
